Who are we?
The Temple College Democrats is a student organization that aim to educate students in the key tenets of the Democratic party and work to elect Democrats at all levels of government.
The Temple College Democrats seek an America that is consistent with the platform of our party. We believe that there is good in governance, and that those with the most have a responsibility to help the people with the least. While we seek to further the platform of our party nationally, we wish to create a Temple University where all students have an equal opportunity to succeed. In order to provide a voice for all students in the Temple Community, the Temple Democrats seek full participation of all students, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, physical handicap, socioeconomic status, or sexual orientation. The Temple College Democrats is supported by the Democratic National Committee and is joint affiliate with the the College Democrats of America and the Young Democrats of America. Temple University College Democrats is a chapter of the Pennsylvania Federation of College Democrats, a chapter of the Pennsylvania Young Democrats, and a federation of the Young Democrats of America. |
Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. President Barack Obama

What do we do?
The Temple College Democrats hold bi-weekly meetings in the fall and spring semesters where we discuss current political developments, hear from candidates in the region, discuss problems in the Temple community, and provide internship opportunities.
Outside of those meetings, we hold events such as volunteering on campaigns throughout the city of Philadelphia, hold panel discussions with Temple professors and members of the local political community, register our fellow students to vote, and work on community service projects throughout North Philadelphia.
If you have a suggestion of something we should do, come to our meetings and let us know!
